it was 84 degrees fahrenheit today in adelaide. here in salisbury it is disgusting and rainy and about 35 degrees fahrenheit. i can't wait to get out of this weather! i'm going to wear shorts and tank tops and flip flops as often as possible. one week exactly until spring break, and twenty days until i leave. i have everything i need for the trip (except my visa has not been approved yet as of today which is slightly worrisome). i can't believe it's finally almost time for me to leave. i've been waiting for this for over a year! i can't even say what i'm most excited for because i'm excited about everything; meeting everyone, going to school, going to the beach, learning to surf, vacationing in queensland, trying vegemite (and kangaroo?), etc... i'm slightly nervous for the plane ride over but whatever. flying alone is fun, it makes me feel independent i guess.
i've been listening to the song adelaide by ben folds a lot to get in the mood. that song made me decide to go on exchange to adelaide rather than melbourne or tasmania. it's a great song... here it is on youtube:
